"Oh...um... you're welcome." Carra said blushing a bit from the compliment. "You should come back by for supper, after the hunt today. Then you could tell me all about it." She tried not to look too hopeful. Carra had two motives. One she really liked Godfried and wanted to spend more time with him. Two, she wouldn't have to talk to her brother all night.

"Maybe I will," Godfried replied, with a smile. He didn't want to hurt her feelings, but...there was still the issue of Diedrick. He didn't have long to really think about it though, as Garr was already up and moving.
"It's time, Godfried," he said. Garr gave Carra a quick hug and left, shortly followed by Godfried.

Diedrick smiled down at Arina, relieved that she was awake. "Yes, Arina," he whispered to her. "I'm here."

Carra watched them from the window until they were out of sight. Smiling, she cleaned up from breakfast. She went through the rest of her chores humming while she thought about Godfried. She didn't even mind getting more water. The faster she got her work done, the better chance there was she could show Godfried some of her skill after supper.

Arina, still vaguely coming round, took one more look at Diedrick and then threw herself forward, wrapping her arms around his neck and then burying her head into his shoulder. Her heartbeat was easily felt racing, and her breath was deep.

Diedrick was taken by surprise at the motion, but otherwise kept his cool. He held her tightly in his arms, resting his chin on her head. "It's OK," he whispered soothingly. He rubbed the back of her head as he hugged her, as if to to comfort her.

Arina clung to Diedrick for several moments more before pulling back and looking decidedly uncomfortable.
"Um.. I apologise for that, Diedrick."

Diedrick just smiled. "It's OK," he repeated again.

Arina struggled to her feet and stepped away from Diedrick looking decidedly uncomfortable. "Yes... Well... I... Thank-you for catching me, Diedrick. I should head back to the village." she paled, turning back towards the path back up to the village; that she never normally passed into in the middle of the day.

Carra was out at the market to buy some more eggs and some fruit for after dinner. She walked around humming and thinking about Godfried.

Diedrick looked on as his friend left. He smiled nicely to himself. "Well, at least one of my friends has come around," he murmured softly. Maybe Godfried will too. Diedrick stayed there for a moment in thought. Eventually, he moved to a more hidden part of the lake. He still needed a bath.

Arina walked very slowly across the edges of town, her horror increasing as she began to encounter people who frowned as she passed, unused to the sight of seeing her. The moment they were out of her eyeline they broke into a furious huddle of mutters and murmurs, and her discomfort increased as she began to shake. She drew close to the market.

The first thing Carra noticed was a group of villagers talking and pointing. She looked in the direction of their gestures and saw Arina. Unlike the villagers, Carra had a feeling she knew why Arina was walking through the market in the middle of the day. She decided to follow her and make certain she was all right.
But was she really following out of concern or because she was jealous. Jealous of the way Arina had captured Diedrick and Godfried. She has to run to catch up to her. Carra put her hand on Arina's shoulder when she did.

Diedrick hummed to himself as he soaked in the lake. It had been a while since he just sat down and soaked. For weeks he had been traveling back to this place, hitching rides with different caravans heading out this way. He didn't really have time to just sit and relax like this, not with groups in a hurry.
He mulled over the day's events. Arina opening up to him was a good thing. Hopefully the others will come around too. Diedrick preferred it to happen soon, but he also knew these things take time.
Diedrick held a hand up and concentrated. The water in front of him begin to shimmer, slowly at first and then faster. Several drops lifted into the air, slowly combining together into a ring. Diedrick smiled at this and began to wave his hand to and fro. As he did, the ring swayed.

Arina gasped and jumped suddenly, turning so fast she almost knocked Carra over.
"I'm so sorry!" she fumbled with her apology almost instantly, thinning her lips in worry, "I didn't know who you were, I thought..." she trailed off and looked at her feet.

"You saw him, didn't you?" Carra asked. She hadn't meant to frighten Arina but she didn't realize how jumpy she would be. But knowing what they were all going through, she should have. "Are you alright?"
