Arina raised an eyebrow, sitting up again slowly. "Like what?" she asked, a quizzical look on her face.

"Yes, Father." Carra was more than happy for the change in subject. And she was certianly glad that Diedrick wasn't here to distract Godfried. She stepped out on to the porch with a smile. "Godfried, would you like to come in for a late breakfast?"

For a moment, Godfried hesitated. There was no doubt in his my mind that Diedrick had eventually came to this place sometime after he left. He still was unsure what he'd do if he saw him again.
In the end, he shoved that thought away. If he saw him again, he'd deal with his reaction then. "I would," Godfried replied with a slight nod.
***
"I, uh..." Diedrick was actually a bit embarrassed to answer at first. Shortly, though, he got over it. "I was coming out here to take a bath," he said quietly.

"Oh.." said Arina, blushing slightly as she realised that she'd put him in a predicament. "Well.. I'll just go back to the town then.." she said, pushing herself slowly to her feet and standing wearily on her wiry limbs.

Carra smiled and went back inside to put a quick meal together for Godfried and her father. She started to hum as she worked. It was definitly better than thinking about her brother.

Godfried followed Carra in and shut the door. For a moment, he stayed there. Again, he was unsure what he'd do if he saw Diedrick again...and the fact that he struck Garr's son was still something to consider. Never before had he felt he shouldn't be in this house.
"He's not here, Godfried," Garr called out. He had been watching the boy. He could tell he was nervous about something...most likely about his son.

"Are you sure?" Diedrick asked. "I could just go to a more hidden part of the lake."

"No, no, it's fine.." stammered Arina, quickly going to pass Diedrick and start on the path back towards the town.

Carra stiffened at the mention of Diedrick, but said nothing. She continued to work on the eggs and venision she had started. It worried her that her brother might show up and ruin this time she had when Godfried wasn't with or worrying about Arina. Yes, that was selffish and petty but Carra didn't care.

Jimmy noticed now he was completely soaked as had appeared in a lake. He saw a man talking to a girl as she walked away. "Don't mind me sir. I am just going to get clean real quickly." Jimmy waited for the confused guy to turn around and once again used the palm pilot. |

Arina turned and looked at the boy quizically, and watched as he disappeared. And, rather promptly, without her eyes leaving the spot where Jimmy had disappeared, fainted.

“I figured he’d have stopped here,” Godfried said after a while of silence. With a sigh, he stepped away from the door and turned to face Garr. “Where is he?” he asked cautiously.
“He went to get cleaned up,” Garr said simply.
“I see…” his thoughts were on Arina. He was worried what seeing him again, so soon, might do to her.
He forced himself to calm down. “Is he staying?” Godfried asked.
Garr was careful to keep his expression neutral. Godfried was clearly aware his son had returned…and yet he seemed to be hiding something.
That must mean ‘yes,’ Godfried thought to himself.

“Arina!” Diedrick called out in surprise. He reacted quickly, catching her descending form just mere inches from crashing onto the hard ground. H brushed a strand of hair from her face, smiling sadly.
Diedrick was relieved to see that she was still breathing. He looked up to where he saw the boy. He frowned as he wondered what he did…and where he went.

Arina didn't stir, and the signs of tiredness showed on her now still slightly worried face. She was still breathing, but it was obvious she wouldn't be awoken by simple words or shaking alone.

Carra slammed the plates down on the table in front of the two men. Silently fumming she proceeded to attack cleaning the dishes she had used. Why couldn't they get off the subject of Diedrick. Her life had been normal and consistant before he had shown up out of the blue last night. And as excited or whatever else everyone was feeling, Carra was certain it wouldn't last. Some new magic or adventure would call him off and he would forget all about them all over again.

Both men jumped at the sound and quickly looked to Carra. Something clearly bothered her...something that wasn't too hard to figure out. Both looked back at each other and silently agreed, it was time to stop talking about Diedrick. They were silent for the bit...but the food smelled too good to ignore. "This is good," Godfried said in between bites. "Thank you, Carra."

"Arina..." Diedrick whispered softly. He dipped his hand into the lake, holding as much water as he could in his cupped hand. He slowly let it drip onto Arina's forehead, whispering a short chant. The boy hoped it would be enough.

Arina stirred, slowly coming to and opening her eyes, gazing up at Diedrick as her vision swam and was blurry. Disorientated, she tipped her head to the side slightly, feeling it spin.
"Diedrick?" she asked, voice soft and confused, "Is that you?"
