Mikka turned back around and grinned.
"I would love to" Mikka said. "I've been watching and teaching myself whenever I could sneak away from Da. I just wish I had a blade as fine as yours to work with. I usually just use sticks I find."

Cael looked thoughtful for a moment before responding, his smile fading. "Well...we'd have to find a place that's a bit more private first." His smile then returned as he added, "We can start looking tomorrow, after I finish with my duties..unless you want to go ahead and start searching without me."
OOC: I think it is about time we move to the next day, unless you want to give the other person on here (forgot her name) a chance to post one more time before moving forward.

"No, I can wait for you. Besides I have my own chores I will have to finish. Cael, thank you, thank you so much." Mikka couldn't be happier and in her happiness, she hugged Cael. After realizing what she was doing Mikka quickly let go with a blush that seemed to even travel down her neck. "Umm, Sorry, I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight." She said quickly and then ran off back towards the village.
OOC: No we should just move on otherwise we'll be stuck forever.

Mikka tiptoed quietly back into her bed once arriving at her home. She stared at the stone walls and ceiling unable to sleep. Her mind was racing with the excitement of the day to follow. Sleep didn't seem to come forever but when it finally did come, Mikka was smiling. Her thoughts and dreams were filled with showing Cael what she could do and seeing his shock, his approval and hearing his praise. Seeing him smiling as she did now as she slept.

(Good thing you didn't wait for me too much because yeah you would have been stuck there for a while ^_^)
Vincent had stayed at the beach for hours after the two left. He in fact didn't even move until the two left. Training at night was the thing he liked to do the best. The cool air kept his senses alert and kept it so he did not sweat too much. First he started out slow and steady. Smooth movements that were passionate yet forceful. Then his sword moved faster and then eventually at full speed. Vincent could usually move fast enough that people could barely block, yet he did know some people who had beat him, and that's where his scars come into the picture.
Three hours after he started training the elder stood with his sword limp in his hand, panting, trying to catch his breath. Finally he went in for the night and figured tomorrow he will skip his duities and take a day off. No one would miss him ridiculing them about their jobs.
Once he got back to the house Vincent glanced towards his young neighbor's window and saw that her lights were out. She had no doubt gone to sleep rather quickly. The elder would keep his word and perhaps assist them in training. Many people here didn't think young women should fight, but if said young women wished to, who's to stop them? Vincent walked into the house and went to his bed. It was very hard and lumpy, but he found it more comfortable then some people's beds in this village. The upperclass people lived in fluffy beds that you could sink down into and no one could find you. The warrior would rather stay used to the hardness of the ground in case he needed to camp out on the ground.

Cael was surprised for the second time that night as Mikka hugged him. He stood still, even after Mikka had left, red beginning to tinge his cheeks. A few minutes after she left, Cael shook his head, a smile touching his lips. In his mind, she was a beautiful girl...but Cael wasn't interested in settling down with anyone just yet. A sudden yawn escaped from Cael as he begun to realize that he was starting to get sleepy. Silently, he headed back to his own home to sleep for the night.
OOC: Would've posted sooner, but had a bad combination of both being busy and writer's block, sorry.

Mikka rose with the dawn like she did everyday. She quickly dressed for the day. A white tunic with seelves to her wrists came first, followed by an under skirt. The last two things were a green shift whose straps only covered her sholders so that you could see the tunic covering her arms and her doe skin boots. With deft fingers, Mikka unbound her plait quickly. Then after brushing her hair, those same fingers made two plaits to hang on each side of her face. All that was left was her white apron which she donned quickly. After washing her face in a basin, Mikka grabbed two baskets of clothing and small breakfast.
Outside with the sky still pink, Mikka made her way to the stream where they fetched water and did washing. She still remembered the scolding she had gotten as a little girl for doing the washing on the beach. Nobody wanted clothes that felt salty and sandy.
Once by the stream, she sat and started to work on the first basket. The mending. She sang like a lark as she fixed the clothing. It was a sad song of two lovers parted by war and death. Her voice could match any tune and make the listener feel whatever she sang. First the glorious love, followed by the heartbreak of the man going off to war, and then grief over the death of the woman. The man then spends the rest of his days wandering the isle seeking forgiveness from his lady fair. Which was how the tune ends.

It was a couple hours before the sun rose when Vincent woke up. It was merely out of habit that he woke up so early. After failing at trying to go to sleep again the warrior went through his morning routines. He dressed in a pair of pants and put on his deer-hide boots. Vincent didn't put his shirt on merely because he was going to the ocean to take his bath and then he'll merely train, might as well keep his clean shirts clean without making them swetty right?

Mikka finished the mending and felt the rumbling in her stomach. So putting aside the basket, Mikka pulled out her breakfast of cheese, bread and an apple. It was the washing next but Mikka savored her breakfast. These early morning hours were great because she didn't have to deal with people and she could just be alone.
She sat there daydreaming about finding a secret place with Cael. Maybe him showing her some new moves. In one day dream, she imagined herself not being able to get one move and Cael having to come behind her and place is hands on hers to guide them. Her skin blushed easily and it was now.

Instead of Cael though Vincent came up behind Mikka and stared at her. "You're blushing Miss Mikka." After saying that he walked over a couple yards down the river that Mikka was sitting at. (she's at a river right? I think so) He reached his hand into the cold refreshing water and cupped it so he could pick some of it up. Vincent took a drink of the cold water and then splashed some in his face.
The Warrior stood up and looked at his young neighbor then smiled. "You're up early, doing your chores?" That was obvious, but he wanted to make conversation so that perhaps he could find a way to amuse himself.

Mikka had been caught daydreaming and remembering the daydream deepened the blush, but she soon recovered.
"Yes sir. I finished the mending and was about to start the washing as soon as i finished my breakfast. Have you eaten? I have some extra bread and cheese if you haven't."

Vincent shook his head and said, "No, I am fine. Thank you." He walked over next to Mikka and sat down cross-legged next to her. "Did you sleep well last night?" The Elder really didn't know what else to say but would rather sit here and talk to the young neighbor opposed to go and work with the others.

"Yes, Thank you for asking" Mikka said remembering her manners. She then got up and moved closer to the water with her second basket. Mikka began to sing again as she started to wash the garments in her basket. Once again singing of parted lovers. This time about one of the fearie folk that had fallen for a mortal.

The morning sun's rays shone through the window, illuminating Cael's face. The young man opened his eyes and almost immediately shut them again against the sun. He was groggy as he got out of bed, yawning. Quickly, he put on some clothes, the same type of clothes he wore last night. Cael then headed out, towards the stream.

Singing put Mikka at ease around Vincent. Earlier, she had been awkward around him but now she was involved in the song and just continued her as if nothing about today was different.
