OOC: Ok, this whole rp is a mix of the Trojan War, a Cruxshadows song, and my own imagination. This takes place in a metropolis city, ringed in by a large defensive wall, called Troy. It is a modern era metropolis, located near the coast (like right on the coast line). Like the city of legend, this Troy is known primarily from the wealth it has obtained from port trading. Within the city, the warriors of the Trojan War have been reborn. In several cases, the reincarnated Greeks and Trojans have grown up together, childhood friends.
Everyone is more than welcome to play whatever kind of character they want. Reincarnated Trojan, Reincarnated Greek, a non reincarnated character, whatever. A few notes on the reincarnations though, while I don't mind you changing the character a bit, you must keep the very basic concept of the character the same. If you need help with that, you can go to Taya for help. She knows more about Greek lore than anyone I know.
Familial connections still hold true for the reincarnated characters. For example, if you're playing the reincarnation of Paris, your character is going to be the younger brother (by blood) of the reincarnation of Hector. You don't have to play out the same outcome as what was given to the original character in the Illiad. Like say you're playing Achilles, you don't have to have him get shot in the heel by Paris at all.
Your more than welcome to play reincarnations of the gods, but you do NOT get any special godly god mode bonuses. You're still just like everyone else in the city, like it or not. The gods are not going to be all powerful forces at all in this.
Also, multiple characters are allowed.
Now speaking of the characters. Taya has laid claim to Cassandra, as well as the history between her and Apollo (though that doesn't mean none of you can't play Apollo...but you'll have to get up with Taya if you don't know their history). I claim Hector.
All in all, this is pretty much intended as a everyone doing their own thing kind of deal, no war between Greeks and Trojans, though there is a power struggle between the royal family of Troy, other noble houses, and the city's underworld.
Other notes, the sword is still the primary weapon in use in this world. While the gun is around, the sword is thought to be more honorable. People (especially player characters, if you so choose) are stronger and faster than real life.
IC
Hector stood on the roof of Trojan Castle, overlooking the city of Troy. He was dressed in dark blue jeans, black shirt, and brown boots. His black hair was cut short. In his hand, at his side, was the Sword of Troy, a doubled edged long sword with a hilt long enough to be grasped with two hands. The steel blade gleamed in the full moon’s light.
Hector closed his brown eyes. “I am heir to all of this,” he mused to himself. He opened them again and scanned the metropolis before him. His eyes darted from sky scraper roof to sky scraper roof and whatever he could see in between sky scrapers. Trojan Castle, however, towered over all of them. Hector couldn’t help but smile at his beloved city.

Helennn. Mine. I say MINE. IC: Helena sat in the music rooms. The bell would go soon, she understood, but she just had to learn one more piece. Just one more. Her fingers danced slowly over the white keys, then the black, and began to play. The sounds of a beautiful melody echoed around the music room, and she smiled to herself as she delved deeper into her playing. As she struck the final key, the bell went in perfect syncronisation. The boy stood at the door holding her bags smiled. "Come on Hez, or we'll be late." Helena just smiled and drifted over to him, serene expression on her face. "Okay Menelaus, chill. Let's go." Her perfect lips curved up into a smile, making her pale cheeks rise. She took her bags from his hands, kissed him on the cheek, and led the way out of the music rooms, long dark ponytail swishing behind her in perfect syncronisation with her hips. She turned and gazed over her shoulder, perfect face still smiling. "Well what are you waiting for? Come on!" she laughed at Menelaus.

"Yes but who's going to listen to a king who fails school because he couldn't get there on time." A familiar voice said from behind him. Cassandra, princess of Troy and Hector's younger by a year, stood watching her brother with those steady eyes that had become very observant in past two years. Her auburn curls, which she got from her mother, were tied in a simple Pollyanna. She had given up fancy styles and things after her bad break up with her boyfriend two years ago. Along with giving up fancy hairstyles, Cassandra, or as some called her Cassy, had given up extravagant clothing. Her choices when shopping was simplicity. Which explained the plain white linen wrap dress with pale yellow trim that she wore now.
though the Trojan princess did not dress the part of her station there was no denying the fact that she was still lovely, possibly more with the simplicity of her dress. Her mother after a year had pretty much decided she was crazy. First her break up with Apollo, one of the best matches she possibly could have landed, and then with her sudden lack of taste and style.
But Cassandra didn't care. No one had believed her when she had told them that Apollo had tried to rape her. But they were all quick to believe the rumors on how she tried to seduce him, but because he felt it would be wrong to deflower the beloved princess he had resisted and in retaliation she had broken up with him. No one could understand why anyone would break up with hunk and all around prefect guy Apollo. As a result some Cassandra's closest friends turned on her. Because of her parents reactions and those of her friends she was afraid to lose her brother too. So she had never brought up the incident with him. In fact she stooped fighting all the rumors and let them spread while she kept to herself and remained quiet. But it had opened her eyes to everyone around her and she saw people's nature's so much better than before. but because she spoke the truth they didn't want to hear they acted as if she was mad.
"Well are you going to stand there all day or are we going to get on our way?" Cassandra asked. From someone else it might be a funny or a sarcastic comment but Cassandra said as if it was a serious quandary.

Hector turned and smiled at his younger sister. "Always so serious...but honest," he replied as he looked at his watch. "So," he began as he turned his attention back to his sister, "are you up for some running?"

Cassadra gave Hectorone of her rare smiles as she tossed him his book bag. She picked up her own bag.
"We should take the stairs. the elevator will take to long" Cassanra said logical. She didn't mention the fact that she had seen the repair man whom she knew to be a bit of an idiot working on the elevator yesterday and that she didn't trust them. In fact she had been taking the stairssince she had seen him.

"Right," Hector said. He then took off, heading for the nearest stair well door. He bolted down the stairs but then stopped suddenly, almost crashing into a wall in the process. He realized he still carried the sword. "Hey Cassy," he called up the stairs. He had no idea if she could hear him or not. "Go on ahead without me! I'll catch up later!"

Cassandra shook her head as she started down the stairs knowing they would be late fortheir first classes of the day and thusly not rushing. She had seen the sword in Hector's hand and had known he would need to put it away.
"Don't take too long," Cassandra said to Hector as she passed him. Continuing on, she took the stairs at a steady pace, knowing it would be long walk but it was something Cassandra enjoyed.

Hector rushed through the castle, trying to get to his room and back as quickly as he could. He rounded one corner...and came face to face with his father, King Priam. "Shouldn't you be in school?" he asked sternly.
Hector lowered his head. He knew this was on him. There was no excuse for him to be late, again.
"Return your sword and see me in the throne room."
Hector still didn't respond. He knew the tone his father used. He knew he'd be chewed out the next time he saw him...but still, he did as he was told.

Cassandra sighed as she reached the foyer and Hector hadn't caught up with her yet. He must have gotten caught. She had tried to make sure he wasn't too late this time, but clearly it hadn't worked. Her parents, though they thought her mad, still worried about her going to school alone. But Cassandra just thought they were worried about the possible ransom put on her head. So she would have to wait.
It was then that she noticed the man leaning by the door. He wore white shirt and black slacks with a black belt. His shoes were black and his jacket matching he held in one hand slung over his shoulder. He wore a cunning smile and that same cunningness was reflected in his chestnut eyes. His dark shoulder length locks were groomed, tailored, and pulled back into a small ponytail.
Cassandra eyed him and wondered how he knew she would need a ride to school. Odysseus was three years her senior but they had grown up together and now he went to the Athenian University. It was a private school which only took the best and the brightest minds but you still had to be able to prove your physical skills. Its where Cassandra hoped to be going in a few years.
After the incident in her freshman year, Odysseus hadn't taken sides. He had just listened and never said either way how he felt on the matter and for that Cassandra was grateful. It wasn't his 6'3" stance and good looks that attracted her to him or even their games on the playground, it was his cunning and brilliant mind that astounded Cassandra everyday.
"Hector's late again." Odysseus said simply as Cassandra approached him.
"Yes, and I think Father caught him again. I don't know if we should wait or not." Cassandra said glancing at the stairs.

Hector went to the throne room after he put his sword up. His head was lowered and hands were shoved into his jean pockets. There were only two of them in the room, father and son.
"You are late again," Priam said sternly. It was a statement not a question.
Hector didn't respond. The boy knew his lateness was his fault and his alone. To deny it would just prove is failure to accept responsibility. Instead, he just continued to look down.
"I wonder if I should even keep you as my heir. Who would listen to you, a king who can not even be on time for school?"
Hector felt a flash of anger, of shame. That last remark was a hard blow for him. It was almost the same as what his sister said.
"Go to class, Hector. There'd be no point in making you even more late."
Still quiet, Hector nodded once. He then turned around and left the throne room, heading downstairs.
Priam watched his son leave and a smile touched his lips. Hector was still just a boy, despite his age. Such things were natural with the youth. The king wondered, briefly, if he were being too hard on him.

"Let's give him a few minutes" Odysseus said. "We'll just have to break the speed limit a bit and if we et caught Hector can pay for the ticket."
Cassandra laughed and shook her head. Only a few honored few heard that laugh in the past couple of years. And Odysseus loved it. It was a good hearted laugh that was filled with mirth, joy and warmth. He considered himself lucky, for it was a beautiful sound. The day Cassandra stopped laughing would be a sad day indeed.

Hector walked the rest of the way to the foyer, instead of running. He'd already been caught, so he felt there'd be no real point in trying to leave before being noticed. "You're still here," he said to Cassandra with a smile as he approached her. "Odysseus," he said, nodding to the man with her.

"Yes, Odysseus, is going to give us a ride." Cassandra said brightly. there weren't two other people in the world she would rather be with than the two that were standing next to her. "And since father caught you when you went to put your sword away, we figured we should wait in case the lecture was short." She explained.
Odysseus nodded his head in greeting to a good friend and heir to the throne.
"The mustang's out front. I couldn't let Cassy walk to school alone, you just lucked out." Odysseus said with a grin.
((hee hee i thought Odysseus should have something to do with horses lol))

Odysseus put an arm around Cassandra's shoulders as he opened the door of the foyer and then led her outside. Her cheeks tinted at this gesture but she pushed it out of her mind by telling herself that he was just being protective. Though she did wonder what it would be like if that simple sign of affection meant more.
It wasn't long before they were settled in the silver mustang, Cassandra sat shotgun, and speeding through the streets towards the high school.
