Odysseus shook his head slightly as he pulled up along side the prince and gave his horn a honk. Hector did not look pleased and Odysseus guessed he was avoiding home.
"Need a ride somewhere?" He asked reaching over and opening the passenger side door.

Cassandra hadn't liked the tone her father had used when he spoke of Achilles. It worried her, but she wasn't about to say anything after the few civil almost friendly moments they had just shared. She didn't think she could trust her father enough yet to speak her mind with him as she once had. So instead, Cassandra just said,
"You are welcome, Father. Please excuse me, i need to get to my homework."
As soon as she left her father's office, Cassandra felt someone grip her arm with quite a bit of force. The soon to be bruises were being caused by none other than the Queen of Troy herself. Cassy could tell her mother was angry with her. Cassandra pulled her arm from her mother's grip and marched the direction her mother had pointed. Cassandra said nothing as she entered Queen Hecuba's sitting room.
"Couldn't you at least wear something that isn't so dull?" Cassandra rolled her eyes. She knew her mother was trying to break her down with insults before getting to her point.
"That can't possibly be why you wanted to talk to me, mother." Cassandra didn't try to hide the contempt in her voice. Even after two years, Cassandra still refused to forgive her mother for her betrayal. Her father had simply ignored it, but her mother had actually taken Apollo's side and Cassy hated her for it. "It's not the first time I've worn this dress, So could we please get to the point."
"I know that is what makes it worse. A princess of Troy being seen in such drab more than once. Its mortifying." Hecuba said dramatically.
"Please don't play these games with me." Cassandra said with a sigh. "I know you want to yell at me, otherwise you would have insulted me in the hall. But you don't want Father to hear. So what is it, Mother?"

Hector did not move. In fact, he didn't speak for several minutes. He just stood there. "I don't care anymore," he muttered with a sigh. He entered Odysseus' car. Hector didn't look at him as he settled in.

Hecuba looked fierce, but Cassandra was not backing down.
"You are not doing your duty as the princess of Troy" Her mother finally said.
"I go to school with those awful kids, get good grades, and stay out of sight so as not cause you embarrassment. I'm not sure how else I can play the part you have laid out for me." Hecuba picked up a pile of cards from her tea table and threw them at her daughter.
"How do you think it looks when you turn down every event invitation that is sent to you?" Hecuba ranted.
"These engagements are pointless." Cassy said simply. "Afternoon Teas, flower garden parties, music concerts, birthdays of girls that hate me. Its all of these families trying to win your favor by inviting the misfit, the disappointment, the crazy one. They want to show that they can accept me, when no one else will. These people are not my friends nor are they yours, so why should you care."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Good, then we have a party to go to." Odysseus said as he started to drive. "And someone I want you to meet. Now do you think you can go change without getting caught, or are you borrowing something of mine? Because you are not meeting her looking like that."
Hector shook his head. "It might just be easier if I grabbed something from your place." Maybe a party would be best. It ought to at least help him clear his head, maybe replace the anger and annoyance of the day with the joyfulness of revelers. And he had to admit, he was curious as to just who Odysseus was talking about. "What's her name?"
"Andromache" Odysseus said. "But she goes by Andy. She's smart and got a cool head. Just the right kind of person for you." They pulled into Odysseus' high rise apartment building. While Hector changed, Odysseus sent a message out on his phone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"That's because you don't have any friends, Cassandra! You need to be more social. How are you suppose to make friends when you lock yourself up in that room all day." Hecuba ranted. "You have to at least try"
"Are we done?" Cassy asked trying not to react to her mother's hurtful words.
"Yes, go, but you if you do not say you will attend the next event I will force you to go myself. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes mother." Casandra went to her room and cried. Her phone buzzed and through the tears she looked at it. Texting back her answer, Cassy wiped her face clean and thought about how upset this might make her mother. But she was only following her mother's instructions.

"Thanks," Hector said as he came out into the living room. His new outfit was composed of a pair of jeans and a short sleeve polo shirt. "Where is the party and what time does it start?"

"Quick detour first." Odysseus said as he put his phone away. "Need to pick someone up first." he couldn't help grinning as they drove towards the center of the city and pulled up in front of Hector's home.

As they pulled up to the castle, Hector couldn't stop one particular thought from entering his head. If we were coming here anyway, why didn't I just wait to grab my own clothes? Still, what's done is done. He had a pretty good idea as to who they were picking up here. As such, he felt there was no need to even bother with the question.

Cassy dashed out the door tossing a quick glance over her shoulder to make certain the guard hadn't seen her. Her freshly washed face lit up when she saw Odysseus's car but it fell slightly when she saw Hector. But a second later, she was smiling again. She slide into the back seat grateful to escape the castle and her mother.
"Picking up strays seems to be a habit of yours" Cassy said with a small smile.
"Only royal strays. It's a community service." Odysseus said with a smirk. "it was either this or pick up trash. And you smell better than Apollo and his crew. But only slightly."

Hector frowned at the mention of Apollo's name. He hadn't forgotten what had happened years ago and the fall out from that. With some effort, he managed to replace that with a smile. There was a party after all. It'd probably do him and his sister some good...at least as long as nothing got out of hand.
"So, where are we heading?"

Helena was bored. Desperately so. She lay across Menelaus's bed, head hanging off the edge, phone held above her as she trawled through a basic and boring game. Menelaus was in the bathroom, showering, as he had been for some time - he always spent a long time in there, leaving her bored and alone whilst he did. Her phone buzzed suddenly, making her jump and drop it on the floor, hitting herself in the face as it fell.
Scowling, she turned over so she was leant the right way up again and picked it up, frowning at the message. It simply read "Listen closely."
Suspending disbelief for a moment, she sat up on the bed and was momentarily silent, long enough to hear the gentle richochet of noise from the window. Almost like rain. No, it was too heavy for rain. Frowning again, she crawled across the bed to the window and opened the curtains in time to see another scatter of gravel hit it gently and fall away. Flinching and glancing at the doorway into the hall, Helena threw the window open and leant out of it.
"Stop that! Someone will hear!"
The dark-haired boy standing on the ground way below her merely grinned, a flash of white in the relative dark of the evening. Helena couldn't help but smile, shaking her head at him.
"I'll stop, but only if you come. Party, it'll be fun."
Helena sighed. "You know I can't, Paris. Don't be stupid."
Paris, however, was not a man to give up without a fight, and didn't lose the grin on his face.
"Come on, please? Just this once? Or are you having a riveting evening in there on your own?"
Helena frowned, "How did you-" but cut herself off, shaking her head again. What did it matter? He was right. It was boring here. She rolled her eyes.
"Alright, give me five minutes and I'll be down. Now get out of Menelaus's garden! If you get caught..."
Shaking her head at his continued boyish grin, she shut the window and slid off the bed, picking up her bag and scrawling a quick note to Menelaus on his desk, about how she was going home to study so she'd get a good night's sleep, that she'd talk to him later, leaving her love and a few kisses and hastily signing her name, before turning out his light and tiptoeing down the stairs so as not to have to speak to his mother.
It was as she turned onto the next street that she felt large, soft hands cover her eyes and couldn't keep the smile from creeping over her eyes as he spoke without whispering this time.
"Guess who."
His voice was gentle, and yet there was a pleasant ebb of self confidence or arrogance which coded charm into his every word and made it ooze in a satisfying way.
"Get off me, you idiot." Helena managed to laugh out, ducking out of his grip and turning to face him.
He was taller than her, but not by much, and she could feel his powerful shoulders spreading slightly further than hers. Despite the easy knowledge that most of Paris's physique was for show, Helena still felt an involuntary shudder ripple through her as she looked at him looking down on her, that wolfish grin plastered across his face.
"I need to get changed before I can come to any party," she stated, uncomfortable under his silent and intense gaze. He nodded.
"I'll walk with you. It's not every day you get to show up to a party with Helena herself."
Helena knew she should chastise him, but there was an odd thrill that came from hearing Paris speak about her like that. She'd hadn't been spoken of in that manner for a long while and it was fuelling an unexpected rush through her system. She just nodded blandly and walked in step with him in silence, using all of her will not to blush.
"We'll go to my Dad's," she decided, not looking up at him, "He's away a lot, means I can go in and out without hassle."

Patroklus found himself sneaking around the house as he was leaving. Normally, it wouldn't have been much of an issue. Today though...well, with Achilles still in a rage, he felt it best to be as quiet as he could. Besides, if his cousin knew just where Patroklus was going tonight, he would demand to accompany him. Like he even needed his permission anyway. it's just a party, fun and games and nothing more.
"Where do you think you're going?"
Patroklus froze when he heard the voice. It wasn't his cousin, thankfully, but still. Slowly, the boy of fifteen turned to face the giant of a boy behind him. "Ajax? Nowhere."
"You really expect me to believe that?" Ajax took a step towards the boy as he spoke. "You're a terrible liar."
"Except I'm not ly-"
"Except you are."
Patroklus hung his head as he was cut off. There wasn't much use in denying it anymore. "Fine," he muttered. "I'm going to a party."
"Where?"
"Does it matter?"
"No," Ajax replied. He looked thoughtful for a moment, then, "Because I'm going with you."
"Wait, what?" Patroklus was taken completely by surprise with that. "Why? I don't need a babysitter."
"Someone will be accompanying you, Pat, be it me or Achilles. Make your choice."
"Well, when you put it like that..." Patroklus grumbled. "Fine," he added as he turned and walked away.

Helena emerged from her dressing room, turning to clip her earrings in and smiling widely as she heard the low whistle from behind her, where Paris slouched across her loveseat, raising an eyebrow at her reflection.
"Behave yourself," Helena said, with no conviction in her voice as she pulled a lock of hair out of the intricate bun she'd tied her hair up into and curling it around her finger. He just grinned again, in his same wolfish way.
"There's a difference between late and fashionably late, you know," he said to her, and it was her turn to raise an eyebrow at him in the mirror.
"Dressed like this? I'm always fashionably late." she said with a grin, turning to him and managing to restrain her blush as Paris visibly looked her up and down before extending his arm to her. She rolled her eyes in a good-natured way and then took his arm, heading out of her father's empty house with him and making their way to the party.

Odysseus pulled up in front of a rather large looking mansion. Eetion Thebe's mansion to be correct. The party was being thrown by the Podes and the other sons of Thebe, eight in all and the one daughter, Andromache.
Cassy climbed out of the car, a little wary. She wasn't sure how people would react to her being there. Crazy Cassy showing up at what was certain to be a big event, if the amount of cars outside and the noise inside was any indication. But Odysseus thought she should be here and that gave her confidence enough to follow the boys inside.
