This is based on the TV Series/Books by Chris Ryan, although you don't need to have seen/read them to join: The story will revolve around the members of Section 20, an elite, deniable Black-Ops unit of the British Military, set in the near future, so as not to involve any of the TV characters in the RP. Players may be part of any branch of Section 20, be it Field Operations, Operational Support, Technical Staff etc, and do not necessarily have to be British, as though the task force is a largely British unit, they do employ specialists from any nation, should they be proven viable operatives. I will be playing the head of Section 20, though I will need a second in command, which has already been claimed. Other than that, Characters may be any rank up to Captain, and as previously mentioned may be of any profession within the unit, and of any nationality I'm intending that this RP will be a series of story arcs, which will continue on from each other, with a time gap bewteen each one. It is also very easy to come in at pretty much any time if you don't join at the start, as transfers to the unit will be common when needed, and you can easily come in during missions, between missions, etc, if unsure, feel free to ask, otherwise, have fun Also, year will be 2020. ____________________ The command centre was alive with activity, communications on standby, visual links on screen, and satellite coverage on the main screen to guide the field team into action. Colonel Chris Emmerson, commanding officer of Section 20, viewed the screen with some trepidation. This was going to be delicate, to say the least. Move in, secure the warehouse and the weapons stored within. Then get the hell out again. Their target was an old warehouse on Taiwan, which housed a stockpile of old Chinese Weapons. 20 had found that an arms dealer had bought the place, which was going to be decommissioned, and all the weapons therein. When said arms dealer planned to sell these old weapons to radical groups, it was something that warranted their attention. The difficulty was that this sale was unofficial, and therefore the warehouse was still property of China. They had been selected, because they could get in and out quickly, quietly, and above all, leave no connection back to their government. So no international shitstorm to deal with. "Captain Sykes. Status." Emmerson spoke into the comms; he was a tall man at just over 6", with a build characteristic of a career soldier, middle-aged, with a crop of chestnut hair, greying at the edges and pale blue eyes. He spoke with a broad northern accent. ____________________ The helicopter cut through the air, towards the treeline. They were to be dropped in front of it, and move through the cover to the warehouse within the forest. There were three helicopters, three teams, three entry points. That was the plan. In, secure weapons and prisoners, get out, before they were discovered. Captain Roger Sykes sat in the first chopper, with team one, running over the plan again in his mind before they set down. He was decked out in full combat gear, though a few strands of blonde hair could be seen under the helmet as he surveyed the trees with mahogany eyes. "En-route sir." he replied as Emmerson's voice came over the comms: "ETA 5 minutes. We'll reach the warehouse within 2 minutes of landing." he too was British, though from the South. "Everyone get prepped. We'll be hitting the place in 7 minutes." he turned to the rest of his team: "Teams 2 and 3. Comm check."

Sergeant Major Amanda Frost had been transferred in from Seal Team Six. Black hair was tied and fixed underneath her helmet. She refused to cut her hair and as a result had to have it permanently tied up. Crystal eyes took in the area they were going to land in and she spoke in the Comm. "Team 2, this is Frost, loud and clear." And she cocked her rifle in preparation.

Team 3 had also sent the acknowledgement and the choppers were well on their way. Everyone made their final, last-minute checks, readying weapons, keeping their eyes open, listening for any changes over the comms.
Then they had touched down, and the teams piled out of the choppers, heading into the treeline, keeping low: "Frost. Take your team around the back. Get a visual for command." Sykes sent the message as he signalled for Team 1 to halt as they reached the other side of the trees, with the warehouse visible behind and old chainlink fence. There were several guards patrolling the perimeter, and a group of four large trucks being loaded with shipping crates: "Team 3. Two men on overwatch, then cover the gates. Those trucks don't leave." Sykes eyed the vehicles as he opened the comms to command: "Colonel Emmerson? Are you receiving? Four vehicles, loading crates. They seem to be clearing the place."
____________________
"Shit!" Emmerson cursed under his breath: "Nothing leaves that warehouse, Captain Sykes, are we clear?" he looked at the satellite images on screen: "Hammond." he turned to one of the support staff: "Get the plates of those vehicles, trace them."
"Faulkes, how long before you have their security network down?"
"Just a few more minutes, sir." the other answered, hard at work on the hack.
"Ground teams, stand by. Their network will be down momentarily." Emmerson looked back to the screen showing the warehouse again.

Frost nodded into her earpiece and jumped to the ground in a crouched position. Three other jumps sounded and she waited until the chopper had moved before she raised a hand and signaled right. "Team 2 moving out."
She led them on a quick and quiet crouched route around the edges of the trees. The compound remained on her left as she moved. She made sure the camera on her helmet flicked to get a full view every now and again of the building. A couple of minutes passed before she was in position of the rear of the compound. "I got five cars, blacked out windows out back. Looks like there's some meeting going on inside."

"Copy that Frost." Sykes had his own team make sure that the images they were seeing were being sent to Command: "Move up." he signalled his own team as close to the fence as possible whilst still maintaining their cover: "Dawson. Bolt cutters. Move on my signal."
_____________________
More cars. An auction, perhaps, or just a meeting of the arms dealer's associates? Emmerson wondered to himself as to what might be going on inside as he surveyed the images from the teams. Perhaps Vasser would be there in person.
"Sir, their security systems are down." Faulkes informed him.
"Good work." Emmerson opened the comms to the field teams again: "Sykes, mission is go. The guards are expendable, but I want whoever's in that meeting alive. If they're in there, Vasser and any of his people are top priority for capture."
____________________
"You heard the man. Secure the place and any prisoners. Team 3. Make sure they don't leave." he signalled his team up to the fence, Dawson already at work cutting a way in: "Frost, those cars near you. Cut the tyres. If they have guards or drivers, you know what to do."
With the way open, he lead his men through the fence, sticking to cover in the form of old crates and barrels scattered about the courtyard outside.

Frost nodded, "Yeah well it ain't a walk in the park." She turned to her team. "Nicholson, Winters five yards that way. Be our eyes. Johnson with me, we're slashing tyres and being the ears."
She moved through the bushes and trees until a really dense area appeared. Then she had to check that they wouldn't be seen by the people near to the cars. She moved to the fence, cut it and held it open for Johnson. He moved to the car and Frost quickly followed keeping her body low. Her knife was out and she slashed the back tyre whilst Johnson slashed the front.
Then she moved past him, checked the gap between the cars and signaled for Johnson to move. He did and she quickly followed as he did the checking. "Frost I've got two bogeys eyeing the cars. I think they may have spotted you."
"Shit," she muttered. "Tyres, hide your feet." They moved and stood awkwardly, feet behind the wheels and knees bent awkwardly. "How we looking Winters."
"Just a minute... Stay still." The seconds ticked by and Frost let a finger slip around the trigger of her rifle. "Okay they're gone. Move quick." They slashed the tyres and moved onto the next car, then the fourth and the last car before they sat and waited.
"Winters, Nicholson, move in. Meet us at our position."
"On our way." A minute passed before the two men were crouched behind the car at the other end of the line. And they waited for their signal.

"Two by the door." Sykes signalled a halt, with his squad formed up facing the entrance: "Dawson. Hobbs. Anyone on the flanks?" he asked the two men he had positioned at the far ends of the cover.
"Clear here." Hobbs answered.
"Clear here." Dawson replied.
"Good. Mason, take the one on the left." Sykes raised his rifle, taking aim, then counted down: "Three, Two, One!" he and Mason both fired, headshots, and the guards were down. They all had suppressed weaponry, so none of the patrols would be alerted.
Sykes signalled forwards, and the team moved up, Dawson and Hobbs quickly dragging the bodies behind the crates before rejoining the others by the door. Sykes gently tested the handle; unlocked. He opened the door, and they moved in, checking the corners and heading into the corridor within, closing the door behind them.
"Frost be advised, we're inside. North side. We'll be coming towards your end as we sweep through." Sykes sent the message as his team moved up the corridor, checking every corner and doorway along the way to the end of the corridor, which bent around to the left, where the doors to the main storage area were found.

"Copy that," she tucked her head around the corner of the car she was stood behind and pulled it back a second later. "I count three guards. What do you get Nicholson?"
"I count four."
"Where's the fourth?"
"My side. I'll tag him."
"Okay, Winters tag the one second from left. Johnson you grab left I grab right." The man nodded and Frost did another quick sweep to make sure there was nobody on the roofs. "Ready? And move." She pushed herself in a wide arc around the car, her body crouched and her rifle held high. She took quick aim and fired. Three more suppressed shots sounded and they made it to the rear door with ease. Frost eyed Winters on the other side of the door and nodded. He tried the handle.
It was unlocked and she nodded to him. He pushed it gently open, his gun worming its way through the gap first. Shots sounded and he fell back. "Winters!" Nicholson dragged the man's body out of the way of the door. "Check him!" she managed to shout over the bursts of gun fire that erupted through the doorway.
"He's fine! Vest took it all!"
She sighed in relief and let herself slip down the wall so that she was crouched against it. She listened for the sounds of guns reloading. "Now," she whispered. Winters stepped around Nicholson and Frost twisted around the corner to fire of three quick bursts. Two were successful but the third forced her back around the corner to wait. "Wait for the reload," she said and she waited. Listening. It came again and she swung herself into the room.
Three more quick bursts and she let her eyes trail over the rest of the room. There was nobody left and she pushed herself in, sweeping the large room. "Spread out," she said. "Johnson stay with Winters."

"Ah bollocks!" Sykes cursed, hearing the gunfire from the other side of the warehouse; now they knew they were here: "Move up, sweep left!" he ordered, increasing their pace, the team advanced, reached the corner, and took up position. The three men burst through the doors into their kill zone, they fired, and they were advancing again.
Through the doors, they were into the main area, which was worryingly empty, but for a few metal shipping containers, and the remnants of the meeting in the centre of the largely empty warehouse. The tables in the centre had been tipped over for cover: "Move!" Sykes yelled as the gunfire started towards them, and they sprinted towards a nearby shipping container for cover.
Along the way, Mason was hit, his momentum carrying him into the container with a crash: "Hobbs?" Sykes called as he reached the cover and let out a burst to suppress the enemy, Dawson joining him, crouched low.
"One in the vest, one in the left arm." Hobbs slapped an adhesive pad over the wound to staunch the bleeding.
"I'll live sir." Mason replied, teeth gritted, gripping the rifle in his right hand: "Might not shoot so good though."
"Better than nothing. Frost be advised, Mason's wounded and we've got a group engaged in the main area of the warehouse. What's your position?" Sykes signalled Dawson across to another container, covering him so that they had two fields of fire on the enemy group in the middle of the room.
____________________
"We have the buyers being escorted to the loading area, they'll take the trucks out with the cargo." the voice belonged to a burly, shaven headed man dressed in the usual fare of battered clothing typical of mercenaries, underneath a Kevlar vest. His tones had a German tinge to them.
The group contained, in addition to the German, three similarly dressed men, all four of them armed with automatic rifles and sidearms, escorting a raven-haired man in a suit, holding a pistol: "Mr Grenn." he said, speaking in a South-African accent: "Do you have any idea who's attacking us? We lost the grid and guards stopped responding long before we heard the gunfire. These people are professionals. The buyers are secondary. Which is just as well, because I don't rate their chances of getting out of here in time." he stopped speaking to answer his phone: "Mr Vasser. We have problem. No sir, we're on our way out now; not much luck with sale before we were interrupted; we're going to have abandon the last of the stock. I understand. I'll take the plane immediately and join you." he closed the phone: "We need to move."
____________________
Claude Vasser hung up the phone and sat back down in the leather chair, high up in his office overlooking Sydney. He studied the opera house with green eyes, running a hand through his crop of straw coloured hair as the information sank in: "Merde!" he said softly under his breath as he placed a palm on his forehead.
He'd managed to sell most of the stock, and the real prize of the warehouse, all of which were on their way, and would be arriving in little under an hour, but still whoever was forcing his people to abandon the sale of the last few crates were costing him a significant amount of money by their interference.
Who had the balls to do that, given that this was still officially a Chinese warehouse? Whoever they were, they would get an equally nasty surprise as he had just received. He reached for the phone again and dialled another number.

"Got it," Frost said as she moved towards the door in the centre of the wall opposite her. There was a door at the far end and she waved at Nicholson to check it out.
He did so quickly and came back. "Just an office."
She nodded. Behind the door was the sound of gunshots being let off loud and quick. She pried the door open just enough to peer round. There was a long stretch of corridor that held numerous doors on either side. At the end there were flashes of light which she guessed belonged to various guns. Frost pulled out of the door to whisper to Nicholson, "Thirty feet straight ahead. Left sweep I've got right." He nodded.
"On three," she had the door pried open with the end of her gun and she let out a breath. "Three." The door was pushed open and she was through first. She worked quickly, spinning her gun to each door on the right as she passed it. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Then she swung it forward and continued. At the end of the corridor the space widened up and she crouched at the edges. There were upturned tables and men moving behind them. "Pick 'em off," she muttered and she started firing into the fray.
Behind several containers on the other side of the room she could see team 1 firing back. "Hey Sykes! I'm saving your ass. Again," and she managed to send two men to the floor. After a moment she let Nicholson continue to fire to say, "You see anyone else or just these fine gentlemen in here?"

Keeping up the fire to make sure that the group behind the tables had no chance of getting away from them, Sykes kept glancing towards the other entrances as the firefight continued. They should have Team 2 here soon, and they could get this over with.
No sooner had he thought that than fire started up on the tables from Frost's team. He motioned to his own men, who lanced the centre with fire, bringing down the two remaining men behind the cover: "That makes up for all the times I've saved yours then!" Sykes called to Frost: "Clear here." he continued, signalling for them to move up, clearing the corners: "All clear." he announced, as they reached the tables, directing men to cover the doors: "Nothing but corpses in here. None of the people we're looking for." he frowned.
"We cleared North side. You had South. That leaves East and West for them to escape." he eyed the area one last time: "Bet you a beer they went for the trucks."
__________
At the West side of the complex, the four mercs and Vasser's lieutenant were hurrying through the corridor towards the exit: "Get the car started." the man ordered one of the mercenaries, who jogged ahead through the doors: "I want this exit rigged!" he and two of the mercenaries followed the first outside, whilst the final one stayed to set up a simple grenade-tripwire trap.

"Ha," she said. "I ain't taking that bet. They always go for the trucks." She shook her head and spoke into her mic, "Hey Johnson how's Winters doing?"
"He's up now. He'll be bruised and sore for a while but, he'll be fine."
"Good," Frost turned to Sykes. "East or West?"

"Mason, you holding up?" Sykes turned to him.
"I'll be okay sir. Medical can check it out when we get back to base." Mason replied.
"Good." Sykes looked back to Frost: "Mason and Winters have both been hit. They'll stay here and sweep for anything useful. You and I are going after the Trucks to the East. We'll have cover from Team 3. Hobbs and Johnson, you check the West. Dawson and Nicholson, you two are on reserve here with Mason and Winters, in case we need backup." he decided.
"Let's move!" he started towards the East doors.

"Sure," Frost said. There were days where she wished she had control of her own men. But she didn't voice it. Regulations and ranks were regulations and ranks. Rifle held tightly in her arms she followed behind. "I bet you a beer we get the buyers and not the actual dealer."

"Oh, now you're in a betting mood?" Sykes grinned, opening the East door carefully and going through, gun first, taking up position behind an old shelving unit and motioning for Frost to move up: "You're on." he said, scanning the area ahead of them, a line of corridor leading straight to the loading bay beyond the doors at the far end, with only one side door about a quarter of the way down the right hand wall: "Sideroom first."
___________
"You want point or should I take it?" Hobbs asked Johnson, forming up by the West door, rifle held ready for the breach.
In the background, Mason started to sift through the remains of the tables for anything that could be useful.
