*Not just another human Leah heard the words and tensed up and stopped pacing. Her thoughts were echoed in Carlisle's question.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Terry, you're still hurt." Morrigan reminded him in a whisper. Then she looked at Carlisle once more. "I'm human, but I'm also a witch."
Jacob and Sam tensed up as well. They both got in ready stances, facing the door. Their hackles stood on end.
***
"A witch..." Carlisle repeated. "Ah, Wicca." He smiled slightly before adding, "I bet it was quite surprising for you when you found out the legends you've heard of were true."
Terry relaxed only slightly. The vampire may have calmed down, but he could still attack in an instant if it felt like it. It wouldn't be wise to drop his guard...not yet. Terry sniffed the air. Besides, there's still the others outside.
Wicca wasn't exactly what she meant, but perhaps it would be better not to correct the vampire. Terry had relaxed and so had the vampire. So Morrigan just smiled and nodded at his comment about being surprised. When it wasn't at all true. A thought occurred to her then. They had no where to stay and she wasn't sure where any place to stay was.
"Ummm, so I was curious... do you know of some place indiscreet we could stay. A motel or something? We're from out of town and I'm trying to find a cousin of mine." Morrigan asked careful not to use the word Vamp again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Leah relaxed a little she had been looking into other various legends that could be true and had come across the religion Carlisle had mentioned. So it was just a personal belief, not anything to worry about. She relayed this information to Jacob. But her word choice earlier still confused her. Curiosity at the other wolf was greater than her concern about his companion.

Jacob relaxed slightly. Sam, however, stayed alert. He wasn't so easily convinced that she was no threat...and there was still that other wolf.
***
"And preferably something very close to the woods," Terry added.
"Why is that?"Carlisle asked. He cast a critical eye on Terry.
"Well, we know what you are," Terry started. "I suppose it's only fair you know what I am. I'm a werewolf."
"That much I could gather, based on your smell. Are you intending to hunt tonight?"
"No," Terry growled. "I've never killed anyone. That's not it at all."
"Then what is it?"
Terry sighed. "There's going to be a full moon tonight. I can feel it."
"So what if it is?"
"It means I'll change tonight. I can control my shifting fine...but I'll have no choice on the full moon. None of my kind does."
Carlisle thought for a while. He claims to be able to control himself, but has no choice on the full moon, interesting..but still, it would be dangerous to allow him near civilians. It wasn't long before he reached a decision. "You can stay at my place. There's plenty of open woods for you to roam in."
Terry snarled. "If this is some attempt to try and snack on us, you can forget about it. I may have some ribs broken, but I could still take you."
Carlisle smiled slightly. The kid's got spunk. "I assure you Terry, it is nothing like that. You want a place nearby woods. Well, there's nowhere better than my manor. It's surrounded by forest on all sides. No human will see you...and you have my word that my family will not harm you or my family."
The door burst open and a young native American boy burst into the room. He was bigger than Terry, but otherwise seemed younger. "Carlisle, you can't!" he exclaimed. Not long after that, a much larger native American boy burst in, thoughb he looked older.

Morrigan jumped at the sudden appearance of the new comers. Her eyes traveled over them. That was when she noticed a a girl enter behind the other two. She also appeared to be native american. Long dark hair and brown skin, she looked strong but still was very pretty. Her dark eyes fell on Terry though she put a hand on the the arm of the boy who had spoken.
"Jake, relax." She hissed at him but her curious gaze never left Terry. "She'll be fine."
Leah was surprised when she saw the wolf. Black hair, blue eyes and fair skin hadn't been what she had been expecting but if Jacob hadn't been about to go off the deep end she would have smiled at him. He didn't look anything like his sister. Her hair was bright red and her emerald eyes were watching her.
Also surprising was the size of him. He wasn't big like the others in the packs. He looked almost normal and ...cute. When that thought crossed her mind, Leah was grateful she was not in her wolf form.

"Jacob," Sam whispered as he entered. He looked over the boy, the one claiming to be a wolf. He wasn't entirely sure if he believed him. The boy looked completely different from him and his kind.
"There is no better place, Jacob," Carlisle said. "There are too many civilians here and elsewhere. And no offense Terry," Carlisle turned to face him, "but I'd rather not let you near any civilians. We go to great lengths to hide our supernatural selves here."
For his part, Terry remained quiet. His only response to the doctor was to nod. He looked at the two boys that entered. They were way bigger than he was and has an air of authority about them. They reminded him of alphas, especially the older one.
His eyes eventually drifted over to the girl with them. She was quite attractive. A small smiled touched his lips as he looked at her. Though, he was curious who she was talking about.
The younger of the two boys, Jacob, was glaring at him. Out of the corner of his eye, Terry could see him shake, albeit slightly. For a second there, he thought he heard the boy growl low.
Instinctively, Terry turned to face him fully. He moved in front of Morrigan completely, as if he were shielding her. Shit, He thought. He better think twice about this.

Leah couldn't help but give a tiny smile when Terry smiled at her. But Jacob was very close to phasing and considering the small space they were in that could be very bad. It didn't surprise her when Terry stepped in front of his sister. He must have known how dangerous it would be for her if Jacob lost control.
"Jacob, not in here." Leah told him urgently.
Morrigan could feel then tension in the room and she worried about what would happen if Terry decided Jacob was too dangerous a threat.

Carlisle was starting to wish he had Jasper here with him. Regardless, he'd have to tread carefully. It was too cramped here for a fight. More than that, the boy, Terry, was too unknown an adversary for Jacob. There was no telling who would win...and who else would get hurt in the process.
"Jacob," Sam growled low. He shook his head once, signaling no, as the younger looked at him
Jacob took a deep breath as he tried to calm down. It was too cramped for a fight. Even in his anger, he could at least recognize that.
"Everything will be fine, Jacob," Carlisle said. He continued to watch Jacob.
Slowly, Jacob started to calm down. He was right. Carlisle would definitely insure Reneesme's safety. More than that, so would the rest of the Cullens. Still, he didn't like the thought of an unknown wolf, especially one as strange as the one before him, being anywhere near her. "Ok," Jacob muttered after a moment. While his hands remained clinched, his trembling had stopped.
Terry watched in silence the whole time. As the boy before him started to calm down, so did he. Even still, he remained in front of Morrigan.
"Well, you should probably change clothes," Carlisle stated as he smiled at the two strangers. "They're all bloody and ruined."

"Thank you" Morrigan said to Carlisle. "But perhaps we can change without an audience." Morrigan was already riffling through her bag for a change of clothes. But she was also worried about her ruined coat. Perhaps she could take care of that once they were alone again.
Leah smirked at the red head's words. Her eyes had flashed over to Terry again now that Jacob wasn't going to kill anyone.

"Of course." Carlisle left, followed shortly by Jacob and Sam.
"Are you sure this is the right thing to do, Carlisle?" Jacob asked as they got out of hearing range.
"There's no better option. We still have no idea how dangerous, if at all, he really is. As such, we can't allow him to be near humans."
"And there's too many humans here," Sam added.
"Home is the best place. If the boy proves to be a threat, I'm confident that we can subdue him."
"Yes, but what about Nessie? Aren't we putting her at risk too?"
"Yes, that is true. We would have to hide her...or keep a close eye on her."
"Even still..."
***
Terry sighed and stretched as best he could in his condition. "So much work," he grumbled, "to find one person." Terry caught the girl's smile and returned one of his own.

"I'm Leah." Leah said when Terry returned her smile and she held out her hand. Morrigan looked at her pointedly because she hadn't left with the others.
"Morrigan, and my brother Terry. Now if you don't mind." Morrigan said. Leah nodded and left the room. "Well, you didn't have to come." she handed him a stack of clothes. "But I'm glad you did. Even if i did get you run over by a speeding vampire." Looking at her coat, her only coat for this wet, cold, and rainy place, covered in blood.
She took off the coat and laid it on a table as she changed with her back to Terry. Then she pointed at her coat and said, "Scourgify" The blood stains on her coat disappeared and she did the same for the clothes she had been wearing earlier. After returning them to the bag, Morrigan turned back to Terry and leaned against the wall looking at her feet.
"To my knowledge, they're the only blood relatives I have left. I'm just glad, I was able to stay with you and Cate. Instead of being banished to this no where land. Hey, Terry, did I mention Thank you?" Morrigan gave him a smile.
~~~~~~~~
"Even still we'll patrol." Leah said coming into the conversation. "Jake, no one's going to let anything happen to Nessie. If you want, I'll keep an eye on him and you can keep an eye on Nessie. Quil, Embry and Seth can run the perimeter,"
Terry respectfully turned away and changed as well. A pair of long, black jeans and black t-shirt, both of which hung loosely around him. As he finished, he turned back to face Morrigan. "Don't worry about it," Terry said with a smile.
***
"Fine fine," Jacob grumbled. "I still don't like it though."
You're not the only one, Carlisle thought to himself. He pulled a cell phone out of his pocket and dialed a number. Edward and Bella deserve to be the first to know.
Morrigan cleaned Terry's clothes. But she could practice repairing them later. Be a witch definitely had its uses.
"Come on, we can't stay in here all day." Morrigan said as she took Terry's hand and led him alot gentler than she normally did.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bella looked up from where she sat with an annoyed and distraught Alice when Edward's silver cell phone rang. Alice didn't look pleased when it rang. The dark haired new-born vampire, not even a year old yet, knew that her sister knew why Edward's phone was ringing.

"Hello," Edward answered after the second ring. He remained silent for a few minutes as he listened to the caller. A frown slowly touched his lips. Other than that, his body gave no other sign to his growing agitation. "I see," he said after a while. "Are there no other options?" Edward listened again. "I understand."
Carlisle, what are you thinking, Edward thought to himself as he hung up. He turned around to face his wife. It would be best to act now. "Bella-" he started.

"edward, what is it?" Bella asked. She had noticed the frown and was concerned about what he had just been told.
"He's bring them here, isn't he?" Alice asked. Her visions had gone blank just before Edward's phone had rang. Alice thought back to her encounter earlier so that Edward could see it in her head. So he would know what to expect.
"Who here?" Bella asked looking between her best friend/sister and her husband. "Alice, what's going on?"
"Carlisle is bringing the wolf that I hit to the house." Alice told her. Bella looked over at her husband as her thoughts went to her daughter.
