"It's fine," Terry growled. "How were you supposed to know we'd land in the middle of a street with some crazy bitch driving?"
Carlisle let that one go as he continued his examination. "We'll need to wrap your ribs though, at least until they fully heal."
"That won't be needed," Terry growled to the doctor. "They'll heal quickly enough."
"That may be," Carlisle replied. "But it's better to not take a chance...even for one that heals as quickly as you."

"Just listen to the Vamp Doc" Morrigan said lightly touching Terry's shoulder. "I shouldn't have been so careless though. I promise on the way home to do better."

Terry watched as the doctor wrapped his ribs up with some gauze. Personally, he'd have rather be left alone. He would've healed just fine on his own. As it was, he had little choice in the matter. "Thanks a lot doc," he said as Carlisle finished up.
"You're welcome," Carlisle said in response. He looked to the girl then. Her vampire comments were getting to him. Did she know what he was? He reasoned that she may at least know of the existence of vampires, being around a werewolf and all...but even still. Just what was she doing with one.
"Morrigan," Carlisle called as he turned to face the girl. "Why do you keep using that word? Vamp."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean any offense, I'm very grateful for you helping Terry and all." Morrigan said quickly. "Its just short for vampire and at school we use slang all the time."

At school? Just where did these two come from? It seemed odd to speak of vampires around a school, even as slang. "Is there some meaning behind the term at your school?" he asked.

"Uh..." Morrigan was surprised by the question. What other meaning could vampire have. "No, just that. Vampire." she told him. Then a thought struck Morrigan. "Oh, goddess, are you not? Are you something else? I just figured...."

"That I am a vampire," Carlisle finished for her. "What would make you think of such a thing?"

"Cause you look like one?" Morrigan said a little worried now and she moved closer to Terry. "Though your eyes aren't quite right. But your graceful, fast, pale skin, deep purple under your eyes. I'm sorry if i presumed wrong. but what else could you be?"

"I see," Carlisle said. He followed her movement with his eyes, thinking. So, she does know what I am. "How is it that you know of vampires?" he asked after a while.

Morrigan stared at Carlisle in surprise. Hadn't she always known about vampires? He sure was acting odd about this whole thing. But she thought it best to answer his question. "The same way I know about werewolves, witches, ghouls, and more." She decided it was best not to mention the type of monster that Cate was, Cate could be scary when she was mad. "It's just something you learn when growing up."

"No," Carlisle said, more firmly than he intended. "It is not something you learn when 'growing up.' In fact, most people have no knowledge of vampires, werewolves, witches, and ghouls at all. So, how is it that you know of this?"
Terry sat up straight and moved in front of Morrigan as best he could, growling in the process. He thought there was something off about this man's scent...now he knew for sure...vampire. He was injured, true, but he felt he had to get between the two. If that thing attacked, he'd have to try to face it.

"Terry...." Morrigan said worry in her voice as she gently touched his shoulder. "It was how I was brought up." She told Carlisle. "Why does it matter? Its not like I'm just another hu...." Morrigan stopped talking. Maybe he didn't know what she was, maybe she shouldn't say.

Leah Clearwater paced back and forth outside the house in her wolf form. She was curious listening to the conversation inside. Another wolf and a human who knew about the supernatural crazy world she had been suddenly thrust into not that long ago. If he wasn't a threat it would be nice to meet someone else with this curse, that couldn't be inside her head.

"Not just another what?" Carlisle asked, suspicious now. The boy was a wolf, she just hinted at being something. He felt he needed to find that out, as well as their intentions.
"What's it to you?" Terry growled. He felt the hand on his shoulder, sure...but he didn't acknowledge it. Instead, he stayed focused on the doctor.

"Terry, he helped us." Morrigan hedged. "We might be able to trust him." She looked warily. Carlisle's reactions weren't expected but he had helped and perhaps he could still. "I'm not just another human. I'm different. I'm a ..."

Terry didn't budge. He stayed right where he was, between the vampire and Morrigan. He growled low, his response to Morrigan.
"Not just another human," Carlisle repeated. "If you're not a human, then what are you?"

Jacob sat near the door. He may have been sitting, but he was ready to face the newcomers, if need be. Still, he was curious about him. A wolf that he and Sam weren't aware of. Who could he be?
