Morrigan turned around with her eyes wide at the sight. People screamed as the dust from the rubble cleared. Panic ensued and Morrigan had no where to go. Her side of the area was where the monster and broken down the wall and now with everyone trying to get away she found herself pinned against the railing she had been leaning on to watch the fight. Her brain tried to run through all the spells she knew wondering what she could do when the thing got to her.
She felt like a mouse did when backed into a corner by her cat, Lucinda. And just like those mice, she felt trapped and couldn't think wht to do except scream,
"Terry!"

"Morrigan!" Terry yelled. He no longer waited on the creature.
"Stay back, boy!" Lajos yelled after him.
Terry didn't listen. He was running madly at the creature, intending to brutally harm that thing. Maneuvering through the crowd, however, was starting to take away his earlier momentum. As soon as he got a clear shot at the creature, he took it. Terry leapt at it....and was met by a massive backhand, sending him flying through the air, into several bystanders and chairs.

"TERRY!" Cate cried out instinctively without thinking as she watched Terry fly backwards with horror. She quickly made her way through the crowd towards him without thinking. This was why she hated Terry's fighting, and sometimes, hated being his guardian. She hated being so attached that she lost her head when he was hurt. It wasn't her style, but she did it anyway.

Morrigan's face went white knowing that Terry had reacted to her call for help and she screamed as he flew through the air. It was this though that brought Morrigan her focus. She started to focus her energy for a stunning spell so she could have time to reach Terry.
She sent the spell at the creature hoping it was strong enough to work.

The creature was stunned for a few moments. By that time, Terry had gotten up off the ground. He quickly shifted into this true form, that of a black furred, bipedal man/wolf hybrid. His clothes, magically enhanced, thanks to Morrigan, shifted with him, rather than tearing. The exceptions were his feet, which did shred, his toe claws poking out, and a whole in the back of his pants, making room for his tail. The wolf boy, leapt at the creature again, slashing it with his claws. However, it did little to actually slow the creature down.
Terry dodged the creatures attacks, retaliating quickly each time. No matter what he did, however, it seemed as if he couldn't slow the creature down. Terry blocked a blow by a hard punch by the creature and was knocked back a little ways. Terry recovered quickly and positioned himself in between the creature and Morrigan. He didn't move, instead preferring to wait for the right moment.

Morrigan was grateful that Terry didn't appear seriously injured and that her spell had bought him some time. But now she worried because if got hurt it would be in the process of protecting her. There had to be away of distracting the creature so they could make a run for it.
Just then some of the electirical wiring that had been damaged on the creature's first enterace sparked and then all the lights went out. Morrigan didn't know if it was a curse or a blessing. But what she didn't notice, at least not right away, was that the sparking had caught on some of the table cloths.

Terry remained focused on the monster before him. As such, he didn't notice the first flames start. It wasn't until a strong fire had started that he even took his eyes off of his enemy. Perfect he thought to himself, sarcastically. He turned his attention back to the creature just in time to see it writhing in fear at the growing flames. Time to strike! Terry thought as he prepared to leap at the monster again.

The dancing fire light casted an eerie glow on the fight and Morrigan watched entranced. But then the smoke started getting to her and she began to cough. Now personally, Morrigan didn't really like the idea of dying in a blazing inferno. Knowing what fire needed, she decided it was best to deal with element of heat. Mainly because it would be practically impossible to get rid of all the fuel and for some crazy reason, she felt they need the oxygen in the air. Besides Morrigan was never very good at manipulating water.
As Morrigan ran through these thoughts though she realized that there might be a simpler less magic solution. All she had to do was bust open the pipes. Pipes ran above their heads and as Morrigan coughed she tried to sense which was water and which the gas line, not wanting to kill them all.
Morrigan bit her lip as grabbed a nearby broken metal chair and swung it with all her might at the chosen water pipe.......

During all this, Cate had been quickly and without reason tearing her way towards Terry. She had no idea what she would do as she got there, knowing she was not a combatant, and all her power lay in human weakness. Sick of the worry, she pushed off hard from the ground and hovered above everyone, using the wings attached to her waist.. Knowing her kind were not the most common in the city, she felt worried at revealing herself, but didn't think as had a choice as she drifted over the crowd at the highest speed she could reach and opened all the doors that were not yet open.

"Stay back, boy!" A voice yelled.
Terry felt a hand grab his shoulder and pull him back just as he started to leap. His momentum, combined with the sudden pull, resulted in him falling on his back hard. His anger, however, was so great that he quickly sprang to his feet again, despite the fact that he hit the ground hard. Terry turned to face his new enemy, his claws already rushing forward to gouge whoever it was that grabbed him...only to stop suddenly as he recognized Lajos.
"He is too much for you," Lajos said to the snarling wolf boy in front of him. "Besides, this is not the place to face such a monster. There are too many bystanders here and this fire doesn't help anything."
Terry turned around to look at the spreading flames. He could feel water pouring on him, but didn't appear to affect the flames that much. Terry turned back to face the creature. It had continued to back away, back through the hole it had created.

Morrigan ran over to Terry now that the creature was backing away.
"Terry," Morrigan coughed, "We need to get out of here." She pulled at his sleeve, his transformation not bothering her at all.

Terry felt himself shift back into his human form as the monster left. He then looked around at his surroundings, at the people almost toppling each other in an effort to escape. The water was starting to put the flames out, yet people were still in a panic. "Well," he said as he turned to look at Morrigan, "we have an exit here." Terry looked around again. "Hey, have you seen Cate?" he asked worriedly. He silently cursed himself for the tone of his voice.

"No. I didn't know she was here. I thought It was just me." Morrigan said now worried as well as she started to try and look through the smoke and steam and water raining down on them. Add all that to the dark it was quite difficult to see anyone.

"You won't get out of here alive if you spend all your time worrying about other people," came a teasing voice in Terry's ear, although there was no one there. Cate giggled slightly and became visible and grabbed both Terry's and Morrigan's wrists, then closed her eyes.
All of a sudden the feeling of falling enveloped them all, the dark spiralling around them, pulling them downwards as Cate's hand tightened on both their wrists. They kept falling, falling, the air tightening around them, tearing them downwards, until...
They reappeared on the street outside, opposite the now burning building and Cate let go of both hands, meaning her two passengers tumbled to the floor as she hovered above them to prevent this. She looked down at Terry and smirked.
"You okay, kid?"
