Alecia entered shortly after her comment. She sniffed the air while Terry was shutting the door. There was one other scent here...one different from Terry and herself. "Morrigan," she growled, "you should know better."
"Give us a break," Terry muttered. "We had a really long night."
"That is why I came. I know what you two were up to. You and that damned succubus."

"If you had seen that thing, you'd understand." Morrigan said sitting up on the sofa and coming into view. "It was hurting humans and us alike. We were only trying to find out where it came from."

"The hunting packs were already looking into it. Terry, you know that's how we do things. Both of you should have evacuated the area, not chase that thing down."
"Sorry, but I just couldn't do that," Terry muttered.
"Of course not," Alecia growled. Her eyes were locked on the boy and hardened. "You were too caught up in trying to make a name for yourself around here that you didn't think about the danger you put yourself in, that you put Morrigan in."
Terry was taken back. She was right about that. Things almost went bad for all three of them in that sewer. One wrong step could have meant the death of Morrigan, Cate, and himself. Terry lowered his head, acknowledging the truth in Alecia's words.

"It wasn't Terry's fault. I was the one who wanted to do something. Don't get mad at him for my mistake." Morrigan said getting up.

Alecia did not look away. "And it's Terry's fault for not stopping you," she remarked.

"Like he could have. He made sure I didn't get killed. Cut him some slack." Morrigan said. there was no way she was going to let Terry take the whole fall for last night.

"He could have if he wanted to," Alecia growled. She turned her attention to Morrigan, eyes boring into hers. It was tearing her up inside to be this harsh, yet it was needed. An alpha needed to be strong for the benefit of the pack. Morrigan may not be a werewolf, but Terry was. By extension, the young witch was a part of the pack as well and under her protection, as far as Alecia was concerned. Her well being was just as important as Terry's.

Morrigan swallowed hard and took a slight step back. She hated it when Alecia stared at her like that. It just unnerved her.
Well, ..uh.. Did they find anything?" she asked her voice only faltering a little under Alecia's intense eyes.

Cate was always unnerved by the living room of the large manor house she found herself in. It was ill lit, and the curtains were permanently drawn, although beautifully furnished. It was a plush, 1920s style room and Cate often found herself incredibly comfortable here, more comfortable than she probably should be.
"Catelyn, you still haven't explained the reason for your rather unexpected arrival."
The woman opposite Cate was startling in appearance. Her skin was the colour of cream; her eyes stood out with their deep, empty darkness clear on her face. Although usually made up, today in her own home Sophia Langeley was plain-faced, leaving her lips a sour milk colour. Even with this, and with her hair left to fall in loose curls rather than pinned as it usually was, she was beyond beautiful. Even Cate, whose race was known for their abnormal beauty, found her a breathtaking sight, especially in the cinched-waist suit she wore to greet Cate whilst drinking very daintily from a teacup. Cate could not see the contents.
"I have no idea what the f- what on earth happened last night, and my ward would like to know..." as Sophia wrinkled her nose at the mention of Terry, Cate continued, "Since Alecia has a want for my head and refuses to share information with me..."
Sophia smiled; the comment appeared to appease her. If anyone hated Alecia more than Cate did in the whole city, it could only be Sophia.
"I have heard very little, actually, but my agents in that side of the city will know much. Their report isn't for a few hours, but I can certainly contact them and see what we can find out." she paused and stood from her chair, smiling sweetly.
"Tea?"
Cate blanched a little. "Er.. No, thank-you."

"Not enough to reveal anything just yet. One pack thinks they found its scent. As we speak, they're following it to see if it leads to the creature."
"I still think I should join them," Terry muttered.
"Out of the question. Kliff's pack can handle it just fine. You on the other hand should find someone to update you on what you missed in school. You too Morrigan."

"At least I took my test, before ditched out" Morrigan said under her breath. "Where did they pick up on the scent?"

"That's none of your concern, Morrigan. And you should've stayed for the full time. Don't be lazy like your brother." Alecia jerked a finger to Terry as she spoke.
"Hey, at least I pass," Terry muttered. His mind was still on the creature. As far as he was concerned, the arena might be a good place to start searching for its scent. He wondered if that were where Kliff found the scent.

"You dodged my question?" Morrigan pointed out. "Where did they pick up the scent?"

"I told you," Alecia growled, "it's none of your concern. Leave this to the hunting packs and just forget about it."

"We're not kids any more" Morrigan said annoyed. "We were there when that thing showed up. I think its only fair that we want answers"
