Leah didn't want to get to close. Edward Cullen wasn't exactly one of her favorite of the leeches, but then again she didn't really like any of them. She had shifted back and changed as soon as she got close enough. Her dark eyes were watching Terry and she could even smell him when the wind blew the right way from the line of trees.
"It's nice to meet you, Edward. Awfully nice of you guys not to eat me." Morrigan laughed stepping out from behind Terry now that he was relaxed.

"You're pretty calm about going into a house of vampires," Edward commented.
"We don't have much choice here," Terry replied. He held his hand out to Edward before adding, "Your father insisted we stay."
Edward smirked. "That may be wfor the best," he remarked as he shook Terry's hand. He broke the shake quickly and headed back inside.
"Come," Carlisle said as he followed.
Terry looked to Morrigan and shrugged. Shortly after, he followed the two vampires. He gasped as he looked around the foyer. The inside of the house, what he could immediately see anyway, seemed much larger than the outside. Most of it appeared white, save for one section made entirely of glass.
Off to the side, on a sofa, were two figures. One was male with blonde hair, the other a short female with spiky black hair. The girl seemed to be glaring at him, for some reason. Still, something about her seemed familiar.
Eventually he turned away from her and looked around the room again. His eyes fell on another boy walking towards him. This one was rather big with dark, curly hair. He stopped in the middle of the foyer and crossed his arms in front of his chest, a frown on his face.
"This," Carlisle began as he motioned towards the larger boy, "is my other son, Emmett. Over there," he motioned towards the two on the sofa, "is another of my sons, Jasper. My daughter Alice there, you are already familiar with."
"Already familiar with?" Terry asked, puzzled. Then it him, that face. "YOU!" he nearly shouted, half growling. He returned the girl's glare.
Edward turned on Terry in an instant, defensive position. He, along with Emmet, tensed up, as if preparing for a fight. Terry again took a defensive stance in front of Morrigan, himself tensing up. Alice tensed up as well, still glaring. Jasper tensed as well, though he was different. He seemed to be focusing on something, though Terry couldn't tell what. Oddly enough, despite the situation, he felt himself start to relax. Even still, he remained on guard.

Morrigan's eyes went wide when she saw Alice. She knew who its was right away.
"You're the one who hit Terry!" She said stating the obvious and ignoring the tensed werewolf and vampires. And though she was angry but also feeling guilty she was starting to feel calm. She attributed this to her thoughts.
*She may have hit Terry, but it was your spell that dropped you guys in the middle of the road.* The voice in her head reminded her. The calming feeling was letting her thoughts wander. * i really need to work on that one. Crap, I'm thinking again. i need to stop that. Morrigan, stop thinking. I wonder how he does it anyway? maybe he could teach me the spell he uses. *
"He appeared literally out of no where." Alice snarled back.

Edward suddenly looked surprised. "Spell?" he asked. His face soon hardened again. "You're no ordinary human," he hissed. "What are you? What are you doing here?"
"You said you were a witch earlier," Carlisle stated. "You don't mean...?"

*Shit Crap* Morrigan thought.
"Uh, yeah, actually i do." she said sheepishly.
*what if they make exceptions for witches* she couldn't help but think. *No that's stupid, I'm still human. Damn this not thinking thing doesn't work too well.*
"See, I told you they appeared out of no where. Not my fault." Alice said brightly now that she wasn't the one to blame.

Emmett tried to hold it in. In the end, he couldn't. He just burst with laughter. "That's how you busted your car?" he asked Alice in between laughs. "That kid?"
Jasper, however, was more concerned about the recent revelation. "A real witch? Casting spells and everything?" he questioned.
Edward remained quiet, instead focusing on the girl's thoughts.
As the tension in the room started to die, Terry felt more relaxed. Still, it seemed unnatural. It's the full moon tonight. He shouldn't be this calm this quickly. He wondered what the cause was. Was he just getting better at control?

"It's not funny." Morrigan snapped at Emmett. "She could have killed him."
*not likely, but still.* Morrigan thought.
"Yes, casting spells and all that jazz. Well i don't ride a broom." Her agitation with Emmett was short lived and now she was answering Jasper's question calmly. And she couldn't figure out why.
*i wonder if they have magick too. I bet its Edward since he knows what I'm thinking.* She thought as she glanced at him.
"So can you teach me your spells? I'll teach you some of mine." She asked him.

"Emmett," Carlisle called. He shook his head once after getting his attention. It took a bit, but Emmett finally stopped laughing. Instead, he just smirked.
"Interesting," Jasper commented.
"Sorry to disappoint you," Edward started as he began to calm down himself, "but none of us have any magic. My mind reading is more of a unique ability for me. It's not a spell at all."
"You can read anyone's thoughts?" Terry asked. "you don't have to do anything special at all?"
"Nope," Edward replied. "I can read anyone's mind at any time. Well, almost anyone," he added as an after thought.

"So it's blockable" Morrigan said to herself. *I wonder if there is anything I could do to block it.* she thought.
"But someone has to be using magic or something. I can feel it. Well I can feel something." Morrigan said to the room this time.
"Food doesn't just stay warm. Are you all done asking questions of our guests?" Esme asked as she appeared from the kitchen holding two plates. "Let them eat and then you can bug them some more."
Surprisingly enough the aroma of the food that drifted towards Morrigan's nose was heavenly, Who knew vampires could cook.

"Now that looks good," Terry said as the food was brought out. He followed as Esme led him and Morrigan to a table. Terry took the seat offered to him. "Thank you," he said as the food was laid down.
It was a simple meal really. Both plates held hamburgers and a handful of French Fries. Terry wasted no time in eating. As he did so, his eyes drifted to the glass wall.
"No," Edward spoke up, "we do not have a death wish."
"What's up with that giant window then?"
"It's for decoration," Esme replied.
"You have a giant window for decoration?" Terry was dumbfounded. Whoever heard of vampires having such a death trap in their haven?

Morrigan ate with almost as gusto as Terry did. She looked up when Terry said something about the window.
*Did they want to burn into a pile of ash or what?* Morrigan thought as she continued to eat. Then she saw Emmett trying to hold back his laughter. She glared at him.
"Got something you'd like to say?" She asked him.
"It's just quite obvious you were raised by wolves" Emmett said. Morrigan smirked at him and proceeded to devour what was left in a matter of seconds. She looked at him for a minute waiting for his reaction but then they both burst out in laughter.

"It doesn't work that way for us," Edward commented over the laughter. "We don't burn in the sun."
"You're kidding," Terry remarked. He had stopped eating as the bronze haired boy spoke. "All vampires burn in the Sun. I have yet to meet one that didn't."
"You have now."

After the laughter died down, Morrigan looked at Edward in surprise.
*I wonder what else is different in Forks. Maybe Ang....STOP...LALALALALA* Morrigan jumped up from the table in mid thought and ran outside.
"Not thinking things suck." She said to herself as she sat on the porch. "But I wonder if she already knows what she is."
"Who knows what?" A voice asked from the line of trees by the driveway. Morrigan looked up in surprise there stop the Native American girl from the reservation. *What was her name again? Leah.* She thought as the girl stepped a bit closer. She stopped as she caught a whiff of something that seemed to disgust her.
"Nobody." Morrigan said quickly. "You're Leah right? You were the one checking out my brother."
"Nobody knows what she is?" Leah asked raising an eyebrow.
"I didn't come outside to be interrogated. That's what I was trying to get away from thank you very much." Morrigan snapped as she stood up again.
"Mind-reading leech giving you problems?" Leah scoffed.
"That's not a nice thing to say. They can't help it you know. It's not like they chose to be what they are. In case you didn't notice people don't get that option to often. We are who we are." Leah said nothing. Her mind was on her own situation. She never asked to be a wolf, but that didn't change anything.

Terry stood abruptly as Morrigan ran, wondering what was wrong. He looked to the apparent mind reader, as if expecting him to comment on it. Instead, Edward just looked at him. His expression was blank. "Excuse me," Terry said.
He left the table and followed Morrigan. He stopped as he heard her talking to someone, a girl. He had arrived in the middle of their conversation, but stayed out of view. He felt himself smile at his sister's final comments.
He waited to hear the other girl's reply. Hearing nothing, he walked out to join them. Terry nodded and smiled at the Native girl. "You OK, Morrigan?" he asked, turning his attention to his sister.
***
"They are looking for someone," Edward commented. He had waited until the young boy was gone before speaking. Carlisle's face turned serious, as did the rest of the family.
"Were you able to find out who?" Carlisle asked.
Edward shook his head. "Every time they come close to saying it, it gets cut off. They force themselves to think of something else. All I have been able pick up was the the first three letters: A, n, and g."
"The werewolf still seems wary of us," Jasper added.
Carlisle remained silent for a moment. "I do not think they are going to cause trouble for us, nor the town. Still, we should continue to keep an eye on them. At least until we are able to determine who they are after and why."

"I just wish I could see something. anything" Alice complained as she rubbed her head.
"Maybe you should just ask who they're looking for." Esme said to her first son.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Leah couldn't help but give the tiniest smile when Terry smiled at her.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just don't want Edward to hear my thoughts. Its very ... whats the word? Invasive." Morrigan sighed. "Its hard not tink about certain things. I almost slipped up back there that's why I ran out."
"Still here, you know" Leah said. "What things are you keeping from bat boy?" Her interest was piqued.
