"Do it." Faulkner replied. "He should be more inclined to surrender once he's off his own ship and firmly out of control of the situation." Threats ought to be far more effective in that scenario as well. "Damn good work over there. If Captain Barnes is unconscious I assume it's because of the Romulan torture and that he needs medical attention?"
"Kearney, any word from Engineering on tracking the Romulan boarding parties yet?" He looked to the Comms Officer.

Sumners eyed the Captain's unconscious head. "Erm, yeah. Must've been." He turned to Zach and nodded to the Romulan Commander. "Grab his arm, then we'll transport over."
"I'm not touching him!"
"Grab him then we can get out of here!"
Zach groaned, winced and shuffled over to the Commander. He tried to look at Sumners for any help but the Head of Security just glared and Zach knelt down, pulled the Commander's arm over his shoulder and stood up with a groan. "Alright," he said, "let's just, let's just get out of here."

Sumners, Zach, Barnes and Lareth were beamed aboard.
Kearney nodded at Faulkner. "Yes sir. Looks like they've stopped beamin' over, but there's still a lot of 'em about the ship. Hold that. Sir, apparently they're all startin' to beam back. Maybe they've realised we've got their commander. Shall I hail them, Sir?"

Holyfield continued firing on the Romulans, but before he knew it they were in retreat and beginning to beam back. He managed a shot on one Romulan's leg but before he knew it, the cafeteria was free of the enemy. The redshirt took thirty seconds or so to recover himself, but he was just glad it was over.
He slumped to the floor, and began to weep. As much as an idiot as Ensign Carlson was, he was a dear friend.

Faulkner saw on the tracking screen that the team had returned to the Oblivion. "Sumners, we've just gotten word that the Romulan teams are backing off. Be careful along the way but it should be safe to get the Captain to medical. Get a couple of men to take the Romulan Commander to the brig and have him secured there."
He then walked over to the usual position for communications. "Do it." He nodded to Kearney.

Zach let go of the Commander's arm as soon as they were fully beamed and Sumners rolled his eyes. He moved with the Captain's arm over his shoulder and nodded to the comms system. "Press it for me."
Zach did and Kyle said, "I want a security team to the transporter room. Escort the Romulan Commander to the brig, stat."
He nodded to the engineer and the man let go and moved back to the engineering room. Kyle continued to walk the Captain to medical, wary of turning every corner in case of Romulans that were still lurking.
Several minutes later he walked through the doors of Medical, "Hey T'Vara, I got a patient for you."

Kearney nodded and hailed the Romulan ship. After a few moments a very angry looking Romulan man appeared on screen.
"Knvuk hevam, fvah?!" The man spat.
"Sorry, Sir. Working on a translation filter now. That part roughly translates to, er, 'ugly human, what do you want?'" Kearney added, quickly flicking switches.

THE FINAL EPISODE OF RED-SHIRT ADVENTURES
Kreiger couldn't believe it, he thought he had saved his friend when he was taken from him without hesitation. He was angry and jumped up and began firing only to see that the Romulans that had just been approaching down the corridor had dissapeared. He ducked back down and took deep breathes. This had been a crazy day. ___________________________________________________________
Martins stood up and surveyed the damage. There were plenty of dead, the red shirt population had been decimated that was for sure. The captain would probably have to hire a bunch of new guys in order to maintain the ship. It's not as if he was going to be able to all the work himself. The red-shirts were the real reason that everyone wasn't dead yet.
They were heroes...

T'Vara looked up from the patient she had just helped as Sumners entered with the Captain. She simply nodded and motioned for him to bring Barnes over to the bed where she immediately called over a pair of nurses to help her treat the Captain.
__________
"How friendly." Faulkner blinked as the translation came through, then turned to the Romulan on screen. "I'll tell you what I told your Commander a short while ago; you are defenseless, we are not, and now we also have your Commander as our prisoner. Surrender yourselves and your ship into our custody or we will be forced to take further action against you."

"Rha? Patned pra krsh! Khoi-udt lloannen'galae ryakna! " The Romulan turned to someone at his side now as he shouted, "Hyaa-aifv-hnah!" The screen went black.
Kearney had a show of worry and lack of surprise as he heard the words. He turned to Faulkner and put on his best impersonation of a Romulan. "Is that so? Never! Drop dead Starfleet garbage! Fire disrupters!" As he finished talking the bridge shook as it was hit by the Romulan weapons.

Sumners nodded, lifting the Captain onto the free bed as motioned. "The Romulan Commander did a number on him," he said. ______________
Zach waited for the red shirted security men to arrive before he left, satisfied that the Commander was now somebody else's concern. The ship shook and he cursed as he fell into a wall to hold himself up. "Stupid Romulans," he said. ________________
Jessica held onto the console in front of her and turned her eyes to Faulkner. "Permission to fire sir?"

"I'll say." T'Vara said softly, reaching for a syringe then holding onto the bed for support as the ship wobbled from the Romulan fire. She set the syringe aside until she could be sure there would be no more rocking of the ship and started instead on cleaning the surface wounds.
__________
"By God they're stubborn!" Faulkner cursed as Kearney translated and the ship shook. This hadn't come so much as a surprise, more of a disappointment; now they had only one real course of action that he had been hoping to avoid if possible. Prisoners were better than dead, despite the Romulan brutality.
He shook his head then turned to Dawson. "We gave them every chance. Not anymore. Full power and aim for their vitals. Finish them off." He said grimly.

Dawson turned a smile towards the controls. "Gladly Sir." She pressed a few buttons, turned a couple of dials and flicked her eyes to the screen as two large red beams appeared. They struck through the other ship like scissors through paper. "Direct hit Sir," she said, watching as the Romulan ship exploded before their eyes.

They had been left with no other option, that much had been clear. Faulkner sat back down as he looked at the viewscreen. "Good work everyone." He said. "I'm not expecting miracles, but see if there are any survivors amongst the wreckage." He rubbed his brow. "Get Engineering to start patching us up." As soon as they were back up to a reasonable working order he would be able to find out how the Captain was faring. Until then he figured it would be best to let T'vara work; from the reports of the fight on board the Oblivion that they had been getting he assumed that Medical would have their hands full without him getting in the way.

The crew got to work on repairs right away and so did the medical team. The Romulan Commander was handed over to Starfleet after it was concluded that he was too stubborn to get any answers out of. Two days later a rather bruised-looking Barnes entered the bridge. Kearney smiled and announced, "Captain on the bridge!"
"Thank you, Kearney. Stop staring, you lot. Let's get going." He ran a hand through his hair and sat on his chair.
