"That's Captain, you bilged rat." Jack spun around to see who was so brazen to call him that and steal his hat, his fury not letting him register the sound of her voice. He wish it had. The one person he never expected to see again was standing there like a day had never passed. Like she had turned up on that dock and had come home. He had no breath. He couldn't process, how could she just be there?
James just put away his sword. And yelled so everyone could hear him.
"Cease fire. All of you."

Angel cocked Jack's hat on her head, keeping her eyes on him with the same self-confident look, the same smirk on her lips, as if she hadn't spent more than a day away from this ship, their surroundings, him, staring at her like she was a ghost.
"It's been a long time," she said, quirking her eyebrow, unable to move her eyes from his yet. In that moment she could see all she had missed.
Cordy crossed the deck, frowning in the same way as the confused crew, Salty at her side as she stopped, watching Angel and Jack, as if waiting for them to duel and concerned that they hadn't already started.

"How dare you come back here." Jack said before launching into his attack on the one woman he had ever loved. "You have no right and give me my hat back."
James came up next to Cordy and whispered,
"Step back."

Cordy glanced at James, before frowning and taking a hesitant step back as she watched Angel hastily block again and again, the sound of steel on steel clashing until she was able to give herself enough leverage to parry and raise her eyebrows briefly.
"I have every right. Don't remember a formal renouncin'," she said, the smirk remaining but losing all of its former softness, now a hardened cruelty up like a shield. "Besides, as I already said, hats aren't really your style."
She kept her sword raised defensively, still smirking, but now knowing he'd come at her again. She had been a fool to expect less from this spurned pirate with 15 years to allow wounds to fester.
"Why..?" Cordy asked, mostly to herself, entranced by them as if it were some sort of drama played out for the audience's benefit.

"I'm pretty sure you did by not being on that dock." Jack growled. He swung again letting his anger fuel him. "Enjoy the lap of luxury and when you felt the noose tightening, you come running back. Thinking you could just turn up and it'd go back to the bloody way it was. I'm not your place holder any more, darlin'"

Angel's eyes flashed and this time she parried and swung back, incensed.
"You dare accuse me of living like an English fucking princess?! You have a nerve, Jack." She swung again, baring her teeth briefly as she did. "You think this is my fallback? You don't think I came out here for a better reason than that? Clearly wearing this bloody hat went to your head."

"You left, Angel. You choose. This my ship, now. My crew." Jack countered with his words and blade. "My bloody hat." He knocked the hat off her head with his sword.
"Shouldn't have done that." James said slightly amused.

Angel growled and began a sudden flurry of thrusts and slashes, her hair now loose and uncontrolled, jumping every time she made a slash.
"You forget my wrath," she said, slowly, every hissed word followed by a clink of steel as she swung for him again and again, on the word wrath switching her stance suddenly and swinging, hitting him unexpectedly, switching her angle as she realised it would hit and instead of cutting, slamming the side of her cutlass into Jack's shoulder.

Jack let out an involuntary scream of pain as the cutlass made contact with his injured shoulder. His knees hit the deck and he growled past the pain. He used his own sword to try and help him to his feet. The pain burned like he hadn't felt in years.

"Cap!"
Angel flinched, stepping backwards as Cordy ran to her father to help him back to his feet. Salty followed too, standing in front of Cordy and Jack with his hackles raised, barking shortly at Angel. Angel frowned and raised an eyebrow, though said nothing, choosing not to worry about the dog and worry more about the man she'd managed to drop with a touch.

James raised an eyebrow, surprised by the turn of events.
"Cordy, I can finish this." Jack said through gritted teeth. "Salty, get her out of the way, Captain's orders."

Angel rolled her eyes and heaved a heavy sigh as Salty turned and looked at Jack and Cordy, as if torn on what to do. Cordy took a step back and he chose to follow as Angel spoke.
"Jack, if you come at me again I will hit you in the exact same place and we can do this all day," she said, a bored droll in her voice though she didn't sheathe her sword. Cordy scowled at her and she made a point of not noticing.

"I can be as stubborn as you, Angel." Jack said standing to his full height "and I am not giving up, what you came for. you'll have to kill me first. I will say this once. She is mine." He pointed his sword directly at Angel. His voice was hard as steel and it was clear to anyone who knew him, he wasn't talking about the ship. "And you will not take her from me.

Angel gave him a disparaging look and half a cruel laugh.
"You paint me more vicious than even the most impressive folklore. You think I just came out here to take everything away from you?" she practically spat, shaking her head. She threw her hands up now, taking little care as to the direction of her sword. "You think I went to all of the effort to put her out here just to take her away from it again? You think-" she trailed off, her voice low. "Your skull is so thick I'm surprised it hasn't suffocated you, Captain."
She spoke the word Captain in a sickly tone, as if mocking the very premise.
Cordy watched on, her frown deepening as she looked from Angel to Jack and back again. The hatred they showed towards each other was furious and empty, as if trying to fill a void in between them. And now... Without casting her net out too far, and whilst trying to keep an even mind and not glance at her own red-shaded locks, she knew they weren't talking about the ship anymore. Not even close.

"What am I suppose to think?" Jack hissed. "You made your feelings clear about me years ago. Now get the bloody hell off my ship, or I will have you shot."
